Zheng Wenhui, Grade 17 of the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University, participated in the dialogue with Israeli chemist Ada Yunus, winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, as one of the five junior high school science reporters selected by the Science News Agency of Beijing Science and Technology News。
On August 13, five middle school student science reporters selected by the Science News agency of Beijing Science and Technology News came to the Beijing Convention Center to interview Nobel Prize winning chemist Ada Yunus。As representatives of middle school students, they asked the most important questions in the hearts of middle school students。

Ada Yunus, in her eighties, is still very energetic, silver-gray hair, wearing a black blouse, like a grandmother in a fairy tale。After saying hello, Ada Yunus took out her glasses and said first: "One of my glasses legs was broken on the plane, can you understand??Always smiling at the little reporters, suddenly active atmosphere。

As a scientist, Ada Yunus values research more than gender。When asked what she thinks about the lack of women winning the Nobel Prize in chemistry, Ada Yunus shook her head, "I am not very concerned about the gender thing, I value the scientific research itself.。And in the course of twenty years of research, Ada Yunus is well in the family and scientific research in the conversion, "my family is very supportive of me to do scientific research, I also love my family very much, between the family and scientific research can not use the word balance, they are linked together.。”
The most important thing in research is curiosity。Ada Yunas once measured the height of the balcony with the furniture in her apartment at the age of five, and was full of curiosity about everything around her. It was also because of curiosity and interest that Ada Yunas steadfastly walked on when many scientists doubted or even laughed at her plan, and achieved extraordinary achievements。"Always being curious about what's around you is what keeps you going," she said. "Don't always think about winning the Nobel Prize or whatever. That's not a good idea。Perhaps it is precisely because of such an innocent curiosity that she maintained her love for science and chemistry under difficult conditions, focused on her own research, and eventually achieved success。
The proposal for secondary school students is that there is no proposal。At the end of the interview,When the young reporters asked Ada Yunus what she would like to say to middle school students,Ada Yunus laughed and said, "No advice,Just do what you love,Go and study!"Maybe that's the best advice,No polite words,Just a simple sentence says the most essential, the most important - "love"。Only love, will go further and further on a road; Will steadfastly sink down, concentrate on study; Can withstand the loneliness of the road!

This activity allowed middle school students to talk face to face with Nobel laureates, stimulated their interest in research and answered their doubts。From the conversation with the celebrities, they have more deeply felt the love and persistence of scientists for academic innocence!
